L. S. H. was Luther S. Hardy (b. 1893) and son of James and Virginia Hardy of Danville, Va.  Luther was another one of Esther's suitor.  Notice Luther put his address on the front of the card.  Luther would go on to marry Ruth Gravely.

The writer of this postcard is Atwood Gosney, first cousin to Esther. Atwood is also the writer of the December 13, 1911 postcard.

Howard Roberts is the author of this card to Esther.  Notice the postcard is a birthday card, yet Esther's birthday is in November, not March.  No  where in the body does Howard even wish Esther a happy birthday. I've have seen this happen previously among writers of postcards.  I suspect the writers of postcards used cards they had on hand.

Howard Roberts was an ardent suitor of Esther's.  A number of his postcards and letters will find their way onto this blog - at least through 1915!

Howard Roberts was definitely smitten with Esther!  This card is written by the same Howard of the March 25, 1912 card in the previous post.

WF Elliott is the son of CR Elliott and the first cousin of Esther.  WF Elliott was the writer of previous postcards on Sep 11, 1911, June 18, 1911, July 16, 1910, and Dec 2, 1909.  Miss Lucie could be family friend Lucie Farson. D.T. is Daniel Thomas Richardson - Esther's father.  There is some indication from later letters that D.T. may have been in poor health during part of 1912. Katie is Esther's younger sister.

This postcard is unsigned; however, the writer was likely Willie.  The handwriting matches the Willie who wrote the Dec 21, 1911 postcard.

Charlie Giles was the son of Columbus and Virginia Giles.  In the 1900 census the Giles family is listed on the same page as H. L. Richardson, D.T. Richardson's brother.  I am unclear of the "cousin" relationship between Charlie Giles and Esther. Nannie is likely Nannie Lee Farson - Esther's best friend and mutual friend to Charlie and Esther.
